Our Bookish Candles Are:
✨ Hand-poured with coconut soy wax
✨ Phthalate-free and made without dyes
✨ Crafted for clean, even burns
Want your bookish candle to last chapter after chapter? A little TLC goes a long way. Here's how to get the cleanest burn every time.
First Burn = Most Important
The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 3-4 hours. By the third burn, you want your candle is burning to the edge of the jar. This helps prevent tunneling and gives you a full, even melt pool and will ensure all the wax in the jar is burned, not wasted.
Trim Your Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. This keeps the flame controlled, reduces soot, and helps your candle last longer.
Tip: Wooden wicks can be trimmed by pinching off the charred bits with your fingers or, even better, with nail clippers or wick trimmers.
Don’t Overdo It
Burn your candle for no more than 3–4 hours at a time.
Skip the Drafts
Keep candles away from fans, windows, and AC vents. Drafts can cause uneven burning and flickering flames (cute in fiction, not in real life).
Stop at ½ Inch
When about ½ inch of wax remains, it’s time to say goodbye. This protects your jar and your surfaces from heat damage
